I am a qualified Dog Behaviour Consultant and hold a Foundation Degree in Science in Applied Canine Behaviour and Training.

I am truly passionate about helping dogs who are anxious, nervous or reactive in certain situations.

Living with an environmentally sensitive dog is not easy but it doesn't have to be forever. Behaviours can be changed and it can be rewarding to see how their confidence grows.

I also take every opportunity to work with puppies. What happens during the first 16 weeks of their life will have an impact on their behaviour. It's easier to teach the desired behaviour right off the bat than to change the undesired one.

You will get lots of practical support to show you not just the 'why' but also the 'how'. I will teach you the skills you need to help your dog and you will get continuous support and feedback.

I don't use aversives like physical correction, intimidation or bullying. I use scientific, up-to-date methods that will empower your dog to learn new skills and to change their behaviour.

You are never on your own. If we work together, I will give you all the support you and your dog need.

My Training Approach

The Pawer of Love dog training is centered around humans and dogs.

Reaching out for help can be difficult and embarrassing for many people. They might have fear of judgement or failure. Maybe they got the wrong advice and the dog's behaviour is getting worse. That's why I am committed to be personally supportive and not just look at the dog as an individual but also consider the human side of dog training. How we behave will have an effect on our dog. If we want to change their behaviour, normally we need to adjust ours first.

I have been working with people and their dogs since 2010 and I have recognised the value of continuous support while we work together in order to achieve a big difference in their lives.

I don't use aversives such as choke chain, slip lead or intimidation. I use scientific and up-to-date methods to build trust, to strengthen the bond between the dog and human and to boost the dog's confidence.

I am a qualified Dog Behaviour Consultant and hold a Foundation Degree in Science in Applied Canine Behaviour and Training.

Daisy, my adopted Jack Russel cross, had her challenges at the beginning but she helped me to improve my handling skills and knowledge about anxiety based canine behaviour.

My qualifications

Do you know the credentials of the trainer or behaviourist when you sign up for a training class or book a 1-2-1 session?

Unfortunately, the dog training business is not regulated and anyone can set one up without the necessary experience or qualifications.

It is advisable to see the trainers qualifications or see them in action before you make a decision. This will give you information as to whether their knowledge is up to date and how much experience they could have.

Here you can see my certificates and degree. I am happy to present the original documents if requested.
